Job Description

As a Senior DevOps Engineer specializing in Azure, Terraform and Kubernetes, you’ll hold a pivotal role in our IT infrastructure and operations team. Your primary responsibility will encompass designing, implementing, and optimizing infrastructure as code using Terraform while leveraging Kubernetes for orchestration. You’ll collaborate closely with development and operations teams to streamline processes and elevate system reliability.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Lead the development, optimization, and maintenance of infrastructure code using Terraform to provision and manage cloud resources at scale.
• Automation: Spearhead the design and implementation of automation scripts and processes for provisioning, configuration, and deployment of infrastructure and applications.
• Azure: Must have strong hands on Azure.
• Kubernetes Orchestration: Utilize Kubernetes for container orchestration, ensuring scalability, resilience, and efficient deployment of applications.
• Collaboration: Foster close collaboration with software development and operations teams to comprehend their requirements and ensure seamless integration of infrastructure changes.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Architect and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate software deployments and releases.
• Monitoring and Logging: Establish and oversee monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively identify and address potential issues.
• Security: Champion the security of infrastructure by implementing best practices and staying updated on security vulnerabilities and threats.
• Performance Optimization: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure the high availability and efficiency of systems.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations and processes.

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 5-7 years of hands-on experience in Azure DevOps, with a strong emphasis on Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Azure will be highly valued.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
• Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK Stack).
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills for seamless interaction with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
