Power BI Developer

Job Description

As a Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining data visualization solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into effective dashboards and reports using Power BI.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Data Visualization: Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually appealing
  Power BI reports and dashboards to convey complex data insights effectively.
• Data Integration: Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into
  Power BI for analysis and reporting.
• Data Modeling: Develop and optimize data models in Power BI to ensure data
  accuracy, performance, and usability.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business
  requirements and deliver solutions that meet stakeholder needs.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in Power BI
  reports to ensure efficient data retrieval and rendering.
• Data Governance: Implement data governance best practices to ensure data
  consistency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Training and Documentation: Create user guides and provide training to end-users on
  using Power BI reports and dashboards.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or
  equivalent work experience).
• 4-6 years of experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, and creating complex
  visualizations.
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction and transformation.
• Experience with data integration from various sources (SQL databases, Excel, APIs,
  etc.).
• Excellent data visualization skills and an understanding of data storytelling.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with both technical
  and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Azure Data Warehouse,
  Snowflake) is a plus.
