Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Admin Lead to oversee and manage our IT infrastructure, systems, and team. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth operations of IT services, implement best practices for network security, and lead a team of IT professionals. This role is critical in ensuring that the organization’s IT infrastructure supports business goals efficiently and securely.
Roles & Responsibilities
- IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, hardware, and software systems.
- Network Security: Ensure robust network security by implementing firewalls, antivirus programs, and other measures to protect against cyber threats.
- System Administration: Perform regular maintenance, updates, and backups of critical IT systems to ensure high availability and performance.
- IT Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain IT policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Act as the escalation point for complex IT issues and provide advanced technical support to resolve problems efficiently.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors for procurement, installation, and maintenance of IT systems and services.
- Budgeting and Reporting: Manage the IT budget, track expenses, and provide regular reports on IT performance and improvements.
- Project Management: Lead IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- User Training: Organize training sessions for employees to enhance their understanding and effective use of IT systems.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 6-8 years of experience in IT administration.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, and cloud solutions.
- Proficiency in system administration tools and software (Windows, Linux, VMware, etc.).
- In-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Experience with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to proactively diagnose issues or challenges, taking pre-emptive action wherever possible.
- Ability to ensure timely and advance escalation to stakeholders or Leadership as needed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
